Getting started for IT admins

Deploying IRIS Clarity within an Enterprise organisation.

System requirements

Prior to installation, you should confirm that all workstations meet the minimum system requirements for IRIS Clarity.

Minimum PC requirements

  • Supported OS: Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Minimum PC spec: i5 processor, 8Gb RAM

Network settings

IRIS Clarity must have a persistent connection between our server and users’ apps. To do so, IRIS Clarity connects to our servers over port 443.

Proxies and firewalls can sometimes interrupt this connection and you will need to adjust your proxy or firewall to keep the connection to Clarity open.

Whitelisting

  • Add app.iris.audio to the allowlist of your firewall or proxy. Visit our whitelisting guide for more information.
  • Check if your proxy is running SSL decryption. If it is, you’ll need to exempt the iris.audio domain.

Installation

IRIS Clarity can be installed by downloading the latest app release from the account dashboard. This is distributed as a .msi file.

This package natively supports all msiexec commands which is the recommended installation method for enterprise customers who need to deploy IRIS Clarity to hundreds or thousands of machines or customers requiring enterprise features such as station-based licensing.

Installing IRIS Clarity

  1. Download the latest IRIS Clarity release from the Account Dashboard
  2. Run the installer wizard or use msiexec
  3. The IRIS Clarity icon will appear in your system tray and will launch automatically
