Automatic Model Selection

Auto switching of models for users on telephony and video conferencing tools

Automatic model selection

For users that are predominantly on the 8kHz model, IRIS Clarity includes an automatic model selection setting (Windows only), that will detect if a video conferencing application is used (stand alone applications only, not browsers), and switch the models to the 48kHz model for the duration of that call.

This ensures that the 8kHz model is used only in its correct environment.

If you use Google Meets or another browser based application, automatic switching won’t apply. It is only compatible with standalone applications. Please use the 16kHz model instead.

Note: This setting is automatically applied for Windows users who have selected the 8kHz model
