For users primarily on the 8kHz model, IRIS Clarity's Automatic Model Selection setting (Windows only) automatically switches to the 48kHz model when a standalone video conferencing app is detected, for the duration of that call. This ensures the 8kHz model is only used in its intended environment.
Limitations
- Works with standalone applications only (e.g., Zoom, Teams desktop)
- Does not detect browser-based conferencing (e.g., Google Meet in Chrome)
Default behaviour
This setting is enabled automatically for Windows users on the 8kHz model.
Note: For browser-based calls, manually select the 16kHz model instead
