Configure your Clarity setup from within the desktop
Allow Ringtones
IRIS Clarity as standard will remove ringtones and notification sounds as noise.
Turning on this setting will allow ringtones to pass through Clarity at the beginning of a call so that they can be heard.
This feature works on the vast majority of ringtones and dial tones, however if your ringtone is still being removed, you can reduce the level of noise removal on the speaker using the slider. Contact us so we can update the IRIS Clarity app to include your ringtones.
Persist ringtones
Turn on this setting to be able to hear ringtones and dial tones throughout a call (not just at the beginning). This setting is only recommended if you use a persistent dialler.
Boost microphone voice isolation
Turn this setting on to increase the amount of noise removal on your side of the call.
Echo Cancellation
IRIS Clarity has it's own means of removing echo from calls. Enable this setting if your experiencing echo on your calls.
Poor Signal Mode
This setting switches the speaker audio to a second model that is better suited to poor quality mobile phone signal. Voice quality is reduced, but in cases of very poor audio it will bring out more voice than our baseline model.
We recommend this setting is kept switched off unless it is needed.
Show Background Noise Slider
Turn this setting on to display the noise removal slider under the speaker section of the IRIS Clarity app.
Launch at System Startup
This enables the app to start automatically on system startup.
Advanced settings
Enable IRIS Clarity as Default System Audio
Turning this setting on will set IRIS Clarity as the system default audio device. This means that all sounds of the computer will route through IRIS Clarity, including the VoIP platform's call audio.
Setting IRIS Clarity as your default audio device should only be used if you are not able to select the microphone and speaker in your calling platform.
Note: With this setting enabled, all system sounds, notifications and audio (such as Spotify or YouTube) will be processed by IRIS Clarity.
Microsoft Teams: This setting will not work with Microsoft Teams. Microsoft teams does not allow the system default audio driver to be selected so you will need to select your microphone and speaker in the Teams settings.
Diagnostic call recording
Enable this setting to locally record audio to your desktop for troubleshooting purposes. For more information on how to view your local diagnostic call recordings see our Diagnostic Call Recording article.
